Vineyard Academy
Fall 2020, Government Class
Thank you for visiting my webpage. Due to the pandemic and transition to online learning, Windsor High School is using Google Classroom as the means of sharing assignments and resources with students. Therefore I will not be maintaining a daily recap of work on this website; Google Classroom provides students with an organized view of their work, deadlines, etc. Unfortunately, parents might not have easy access unless they check their student's Google Classroom or review their student's grades in Aeries. But I have enabled the weekly updates in Google Classroom, so parents would receive an email each week about assignments and postings.
Obviously these are different times and I want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. Therefore, if you need assistance or information, please contact me via email at [email protected] (students can also message me directly through Google Classroom). I have attached the syllabus for Government, a brief introduction letter about me, and our video conference (class discussion) expectations below. Lastly, a recording from the Sept. 9, 2020, Back-to-School Night is embedded below. |
Oct. 1, 2020:
For parents, students, and community members who might be interested in my political biases as I teach students at Windsor High School, I have updated this website with a couple of posts: 1) My reflections following the 2016 election (mittswusd.weebly.com/2016-election-reflections.html); and, 2) A longshot prediction about a potential outcome of the 2020 election. I try to be a thoughtful, non-partisan teacher when working with students. But obviously I have my personal beliefs about elections and their outcomes; I also like to think about the "what if" scenarios to stretch my own cognitive and creative abilities. So I hope you find the linked readings interesting and/or amusing. Feel free to email me with questions or concerns about either posting. |
